York County Bridge 247 Replacement Project
Bridge No. 247 over the Yellow Breeches Creek will be replaced. The bridge is located on North Grantham Road and Mill Road. The project involves replacing the existing structurally deficient bridge to provide safe and efficient crossing over the Yellow Breeches Creek that can carry legal loads and retain connectivity between the York County and Cumberland County communities. The project is currently in the permitting phase, but is expected to be completed between Spring – Fall 2025.
At the May 5, 2022 Board of Commissioners’ meeting, a representative of Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) shared plans to replace the York County Bridge # 247. The project is a combined effort of York and Cumberland Counties, with York County taking the lead on the project. To view HRG’s Exhibits, visit the township’s Development Projects page.
