Sign Ordinance Updates

The Township’s sign regulations have not been significantly updated since 2006.  The Township is considering amending its requirements for what types of temporary and permanent signs can be permitted.  The current proposal incorporates new best practices, updates for compliance with federal and state court decisions involving signage, new and updated sign definitions, an expanded and updated list of prohibited and exempt signs, as well as new types of permitted signs, and more.  The proposed ordinance also incorporates some charts and images to help better explain the regulations.
