Real Estate Second Tax Notices
November 10, 2022
Township residents who have not paid their County/Township and/or School Real Estate taxes for 2022 are receiving Second Tax Notices as a reminder that they are still due.
The “discount” and “face” periods for payment of taxes are now over and we are in the “penalty” period. (Please note that “interim” tax bills, which are generated by new home construction, have their own due dates, so the discount, face and penalty periods will vary.)
Unpaid taxes that are currently in the “penalty” period are not delinquent; however, taxes not paid by the end of December will be considered delinquent and will be turned over to the Cumberland County Tax Claim Bureau for collection, where additional penalties and interest will be added.
Please contact Tax Collector Sharon Shipman at email@example.com (preferred) or 717-766-4238 with questions or to obtain another copy of your bill.
Office hours for in-person payment of taxes are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a. m. to 1 p.m. There is also a drop box outside the main entrance to the Township building for after-hours payment. Please include your phone number with payment so I can reach you quickly if needed!
Payments can also be mailed to 275 Cumberland Parkway, #325, Mechanicsburg 17055.
