Public Hearing for 7-Year Update of Agricultural Security Area (ASA)

The Upper Allen Township Board of Commissioners will conduct a review of the Township’s Agricultural Security Area (ASA), pursuant to the Agricultural Area Security Law, Act 43 of 1981.  The aforementioned ASA description is currently on file and available for public inspection at the Township office at 100 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

A public hearing will be held at the Township building on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 6:15 p.m.  The purpose of this public hearing is to fulfill the requirements for conducting a seven-year review of the Township’s ASA .  The Township’s Planning Commission and Agricultural Security Area Advisory Committee (ASAAC) will also review the ASA and make their respective recommendations to the Board of Commissioners.  The Planning Commission meeting will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. and the ASAAC meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.  All meetings will be held at the Township building.
